It was thing of beauty last night when Division 2 side, Cheetah FC unveiled it 10th anniversary logo an action that brought together an array of stars.
The short yet colorful program which was held at the offices of the Club inside Kasoa saw a host of stars in attendance including, hiplife icons, Kofi Kinaata, Keche ans Tee-Phlow.
Also in attendance were movie icon, Yaw Dabo, Don Little and Vivian Otchere.
The night was highlighted by the unveiling of the 10th anniversary logo which was done by Kofi Kinaata and former player of the Club, Ishmael Yartey who is also a brother to the founder of the Club, Abdul Hayye Yartey.
Yaw Dabo and Vivian Otchere unveiled the meaning of the logo which is gold and black.
Hiplife Duo Keche and Evans Antwi (the first player bought by Cheetah FC), unveil the official 10th Anniversary t-shirt.
The program line up for the 10th anniversary include the following:
Saturday 12th January: Clean Up Exercise at the Kasoa Chief’s palace as well as the Kasoa lorry park
Sunday 13th January:Pool Party at the Blue Rose Estate (Buduburam)
Wednesday 16th January: Football Match between Cheetah FC and Liberty Professionals at the Kasoa park.
Friday 18th January: Prayers at the Kasoa Muslim Mosque.
Saturday 19th January: Donation To the Special Olympics Soccer team at the Dzorwulu special school.
Sunday 20th: Church Service and Dinner Party
Formed in 2009, the club has built a strong reputation for producing young talented players in Ghana and beyond.
2019 marks 10 years since the formation of the Club and this according to Club President and founder Abdul Hayye Yartey, will be celebrated as they have lined up series of activities throughput the year.
Cheetah FC has produced very good players for both local and European clubs and the Ghana National Teams (Starlets), (Satellites) as well as the senior team, (Black Stars).
Notable among these players are New Castle United’s Christian Atsu who is now a key feature for the senior nation men’s football team, Black Stars.
Alhassan Wakaso, Mohammed Iddriss and his national under-17 colleague Emmanuel Toku and Ernest Ohemeng are but a few of the players that the Kasoa based side has produced in its short but illustrious existence.
