on

Chelsea fans in New York who attended a screening of Saturday’s game with Liverpool got a surprise when club legends Ashley Cole and Michael Essien showed up… and brought the Premier League trophy with them.

A lucky group of US-based Blues were picked up Chelsea-branded bus with former players Cole and Essien on board.

The bus took them to a screening event attended by 500 Chelsea fans, who witnessed Antonio Conte’s side draw 1-1 at Anfield via NBC’s live coverage.

Cole and Essien had a kickabout with two of NBC’s pundits.

The pair also led a march of Chelsea supporters through the streets while holding the trophy which they both picked up during their time at Stamford Bridge.

Essien and Cole also attended the Carolina Panthers vs New York Jets game at MetLife Stadium.
