Captain of Premier League side Liberty Professionals, Samuel Sarfo, has mentioned that in order to become fearsome in all competitions, they need to up their game as a team.
The Dansoman lads limped past Division One side Pure Joy FC last Saturday in the round of 32 fixture of the 2016 MTN FA Cup played at the Prampram Park.
They conceded very early in the game and had to labour for the equaliser which came five minutes to full time, an action that saw them win during the penalty shootout.
Prior to the Pure Joy game, Liberty lost 3-1 to Asante Kotoko in the match week 7 fixture of the Ghana Premier League, and this according to the captain, should change.
“I believe that we should up our game in the next couple of matches we play as a team in order to challenge for all the titles we find ourselves playing for.”
Our game against Kotoko was a very difficult one and so was Saturday’s match against Pure Joy. They really gave us a good run for our money, and I admit that we were totally outplayed in the first half of the game.”
“But during recess the coaches talked to us and motivated us to go all out and that is what we did in the second half and managed to get the equaliser that pushed us into the penalty shootout which we eventually won.
