Malta Guiness Women’s Premier League: Army/ Supreme Ladies Win Big On Match Day 1

Army Ladies and Supreme Ladies were the big winners on match day 1 of the 2022 Malta Guinness Ghana Women’s Premier League which kicked off across the country over the weekend.

Representing the Southern Zone, Army Ladies kicked of the season with a 4-0 away win over Lady Strikers with Zenabu Mumuni scoring a brace and Nancy Opoku and Zinatu Alhassan getting the other goals.

In the Northern Zone, Supreme Ladies shipped five unanswered goals past Candy Soccer Academy to jump to the top of the table. Linda Owusu-Ansah grabbed a brace in the game with Patience Afriyie, Felicity Asante and Anna Foriwaa Thompson getting the other goals.

Defending Champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies were held to a 1-1 draw game whilst Hasaacas Ladies limped 1-0 past Berry Ladies.
