Following news on Monday morning that the Management and Board of the Club are on the verge of sacking their head coach, supporters Hearts of Oak have warned that they will stay away from all the team’s matches if the coach is indeed sacked.
The coach who took to is facebook page on Sunday to explain certain issues ongoing in the Club and the team, has come under serious fire from the Management and Board of the Club who have summoned him to an emergency meeting at the Club’s secretariat this afternoon.
Sources say the coach might be given the boot if he fails to explain to satisfaction why he took internal matters to social media.
This information has gotten the supporters all worked up since the news broke out with many of them threatening boycott the team’s match should the coach be sacked.
Most of them took to the various social media platforms to make their concerns known to the Board and Management.
Graham Gray wrote on his facebook wall: if they sack Kenichi, I’m not going to the stadium anymore to watch Hearts of oak matches. I don’t know for others. But I can confidently say that, he will be taking half of the supporters away. the players love him and they are willing to play for him. and I don’t know why they would want to sack him.”
Amoah Jericho added: “Did he encourage the players to fight for their wages? I don’t really know the story but I’ll be disappointed in the management of Hearts of Oak IF the situation is escalated to what I’m commenting..”
Awudu Sidique Amisty said: “Look at this management oooo, how can one work without earning anything? if Kenichi Yatsuhashi aka Keni 八橋健一(ケニー)says pay the players and the assistant coaches what is wrong with that? they should sack him and let’s see. It is only in Ghana when one says truth and he or she becomes a target”.
Most of the other social media platforms monitored by www.ghanasoccernews.com had similar views and suggestions that the fans are so much in love with their coach and will not take it lightly if he is sacked.
