After days of division, accusations and counter-accusations from both parties, Great Olympics coach Godwin Attram and the Board/Management have smoked the peace pipe.
As reported yesterday by this website, Board chairman of the Club, Amarkai Amarteifio called an emergency meeting at his residence to find an amicable solution the of the field issues that rocked the Club last week, an action that saw newly appointed head coach Tom Strand train with a group of the the team’s players at Prampram whilst Godwin Attram trained with the rest at the Fire Service Training school in Accra.
The meeting was attended by both coaches, (Attram and Tom Strand), Board Chairman Amarkai Amarteifio, Fadi Fattal and some Board and Management members.
After over two hours of deliberations, both parties decided to bury the hatchet and move on for the greater good of Great Olympics.
Godwin Attram, who had initially sworn that if the Club appointed Tom Strand as head coach he will resign, accepted to work with the Swedish trainer as his assistant and will resume duties this afternoon at the team’s training grounds.
Also players from the Attram Devisser Academy that were brought in to help the team, will resume training this afternoon, after initially staying away from the team due to the division.
