Daniel Amartey Suffers Injury In 3-0 Loss To West Ham

Daniel Amartey suffers another injury in Leicester City’s 3-0 home defeat to West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

The Ghanaian international was named in the starting XI and played the entire duration of the 1st half.

But was substituted in the 55th minute after he went down injured in the 53rd minute following a challenge with an opponent.

He limped off as he walked off the pitch and replaced by √únder Cengiz.

Club sources say the player will be assessed tomorrow to ascertain the degree of the injury, but head coach Brendan Rodgers mentioned at the post match conference that he suspects it is a hamstring.

It was against this same West Ham United that Amartey sustained that career threatening injury that saw him out of action for over two years.

He made his first full league appearance last week for Leicester as they beat Manchester City 5-2 at the Etihad stadium.
