on

LEICESTER ace Daniel Amartey was stretchered off with a suspected broken ankle in the draw with West Ham.

The midfielder suffered a horror injury after losing out in a tussle with Michael Antonio in the dying embers of the clash.

Amartey, 23, frantically signaled to the bench straight away and appeared in agonizing pain.

The medical team rushed onto the field and were forced to hand the Ghanaian international oxygen.

Replays showed his leg got caught under his body as he fell to the ground, leading to the horrendous incident.

His team-mates rushed to his aid but looked seriously concerned as they came to the realization of his injury.

Leicester boss Claude Puel said after the contest: “I hope its not a serious injury, he needed to have an examination and then we will see of course.”

Viewers took to social media to share their sympathy with Amartey.

One said: “Sickening injury for Daniel Amartey. Wishing him a speedy recovery!”
