Daniel Amartey Scores Full Marks In Leicester’s EPL Opener Against Wolves

Ghanaian international Daniel Amartey scored full marks this afternoon as Leicester City opened their 2021/22 Premier League season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at King Power Stadium, courtesy of Jamie Vardy’s excellent first-half strike.

Amartey, who had a wonderful preseason with the Foxes, was named in the starting XI and played the entire duration.

City had to show their defensive qualities especially in the second period, and actions that pleased head coach Brendan Rodgers.

“Some of the blocks, some of the defending that they had to do, obviously Wolves were chasing the game. They were throwing bodies forward, so our defending was exceptional in that period.

He is expected to maintain his position in the team as they play as guests to West Ham next week Monday in match week 2 of the English Premier League.
