on

Defender Daniel Amartey will make a return to the Black Stars after a three year absence.

The Leicester City player  who last payed for the Black Stars in September 2018 in an AFCON qualifier against Kenya has been named in Coach C.K. Akonnor’s 30 man squad to play two international friendly games against Morocco and Ivory Coast next month.

He picked up a carrier threatening injury that ruled him out of competitive football for a long time before making a return to competitive football last December, featuring for the foxes in both Premier League as well as the Europa League competition.

His return to the Black Stars has been applauded by most most Ghanaian fans following the immense experience he is bringing to the team.
