Versatile Ghanaian sports photo journalist Dada Oliseh will be honoured with an award at this year’s Women In Sports Association (WISA) Achievers Awards on Saturday 24th September at the Accra sports stadium.
Oliseh, who is arguably one of the best sports photographers in the country with over 18 years experience under his belt is a household name when it comes to sports photography in Ghana.
Last year he was nominated in three awards and he won two (Best Photographer Of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season) at the Universal Premier League Awards and (International Sports Photographer Of The Year 2021) at the IPA Awards.
Dada Oliseh whose original name is Samuel A. Boakye-Buckman is currently in the United Kingdom on holidays after extensively covering the 2022 Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham in July and August 2022.
The award will be picked up by his mother, Madam Mary Pearl Boakye on his behalf.
31 other athletes and sports men and women will be awarded at the 2022 edition.
Madam Gloria Commodore, President of WISA is the brainchild of the awards.
