Asante Kotoko Announce New Captains Ahead Of New Season


Ahead of the upcoming 2021/2022 football season, Ghana Premier League side, Asante Kotoko has announced three new captains.

According to a post on the club’s Twitter page, defender Ismail Abdul Ganiyu is the new captain and will be assisted by goalkeeper Razak Abalora (1st Deputy) and Mudasiru Salifu (2nd Deputy).

The need for new captains became necessary for the ‘Porcupine Warriors’ following the exit of goalkeeper Felix Annan and Emmanuel Gyamfi, both of who led the club in all competitions last season.

The entire team will depart for Dubai today for preseason for two weeks ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League season which is scheduled to commence on Friday, October 29, 2021.
