Ghanaian international Abbey Agbodzie has ended the 2021 Albanian football season with a Cup silver medal.

The former Dreams FC defender who joined the Albanian powerhouse KF Skenderbeu a few months ago was part of the squad that played in the Albanian Cup final on Monday against Vllaznia at the Air Albania stadium.

Unfortunately, Abbey who was an unused sub, and his team, lost the game following to a 39th-minute goal by Brazilian Victor Matheus da Silver Matos.

KF Skenderbeu ended the season at the 7th position of the 10 Club league with 37 points, an action Abbey believes will be improved in the new season.

It’s been a very good outing for me with this Club since I joined them a few months ago. The fight was to do all we can to stay in the league and we managed to achieve that. Also, we qualified for the finals of the Albanian Cup, but unfortunately lost by a lone goal”, he mentioned in a chat with Dada Oliseh, editor of this website.

For him, the experience has been a good one and he is looking forward to rejoining his colleagues soon in pre-season as they prepare for the 2021-2022 football season.
