The course was attended by 30 youth training coaches under the supervision of FIFA Instructor Ulric Mathiot and GFA Technical Director Oti Akenten who took the participants on how to educate youngsters through football and make them love the game.

The climax of the course came on Saturday with 100 School kids between eight and 12 years old taking part in a football festival held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE).

During the festival the coaches exercised what they learnt throughout the week and were practically examined.

GFA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi thanked the course instructor and FIFA for course, saying it will go a long way to help develop football talents in the country.

“Grassroots program is where football development is starts from and without knowledge it will be very difficult to develop football and to realise our dreams. We always prioritize our desire to increase our footballing through education”, he said.

He urged the school kids to take inspiration from this programme and also become great players, coaches and administrators in football.
